Nina Saville is a full-time freelance journalist both online and in print magazines covering an extensive variety of lifestyle subjects ranging from film and theatre to culinary travel, restaurants, luxury hotels, spas, beauty treatments, fashion and fragrance reviews.

Originally an actress; post drama school her early career spans theatre, film and televison both in front of the camera and as a producer. She still has a fan base today for her popular image as Mr Rumbold’s sexy secretary in the iconic comedy television series “Are You Being Served” still repeated worldwide. On a serious note she has played lead roles in Shakespeare, Strindberg, Pirandello and Anouilh both on stage and on the small screen. Indeed she met her husband film director Philip Saville as an actress featuring in the BAFTA award-winning B.B.C. tv series “ The Lives and Loves of a She-Devil.”

During the eighties she produced an award winning BT Documentary “The Movie”, devised and produced “Speak Robert Speak” broadcast worldwide and on Channel 4 as well as presenting a wide range of programmes including her own poetry series for ITV. She is also a keen cook and won the celebrity episode of “Ready Steady Cook” – a British programme nationally televised, competing against one of the UK’s leading food writers.

Having given up her acting career after the birth of her son she adapted her workload to fit in with the demands of motherhood and began her career as a freelance journalist writing profiles and articles for London Glossies and Time Out kids.

As a travel writer she has a penchant for unique and luxurious hotels, lively 5 star resorts , exotic welllness spas and top spa hotels around the globe and restaurants with terrific food and ambience; as a theatre critic she reviews west end plays, spectacular shows and musicals and in particular flagship productions at the wonderful National Theatre.

Leading such a glamorous life it is essential to smell nice and Nina Saville along with her panel of Perfumistas are on the fragrance trail; so far following the fabulous Jo Malone, Guerlain and niche, chic perfume Houses Diptyque and Ormonde Jayne, their noses at the ready for the beautiful, romantic and exotic best scents both for women and men.
